Personal Independence PaymentThe Personal Independence Payment (PIP) Contact Number will direct you to the main Customer Service Team where staff will endeavour to assist you with your enquiry, however if you are keen to find further information on line click ‘HERE’ and you will be redirected to the PIP Website or you can find literature at your local DWP office or Job Centre Plus Office.

Launched in April 2013 the introduction of PIP or The Personal Independence Payment Benefit is now in place, the government has decided to introduce PIP to replace the current benefit of DLA or Disability Living Allowance.

The changes have been designed and implemented to improve how the benefit is calculated and issued to people who qualify, it is being made available for people who’s ages fall between 16 and 64 years and who may be suffering from either a permanent health condition or a restricting disability which may stops or hinder that person being able to attend a job or perform work on a regular daily basis.

The calculation for PIP is built around the following areas of a claimant’s situation, this includes how the condition affects the applicant in a day to day way and not purely on the diagnosed medical condition itself.

If you’re unsure if the changes to the benefit will affect your qualification and or your existing DLA eligibility please do call the PIP Contact Number on 0843 515 8141 or the DWP (Department for Work and Pensions) 0843 515 9416 and a member of their team will assist with your enquiry.

Awarded benefits are assessment based, thus meaning any award / benefit issued will determine your allowance grade and the  overall level of help you will receive.

PIP will take over completely from the DLA benefit, with this in mind it is suggested that you fully understand the benefit in full, including how it had been built, the reasons why it has been implemented, how this may affect you or your current DLA Benefit.

Call the PIP Contact Number ensure you have as much information relating to your case and past DLA awards at hand to help speed up the process.
